Our Debut into the Blogging World

It is about time! I started this blog last semester but have not added a single post. I guess it is only appropriate to say a few words about us, the Smith’s….

First of all, Kevin is handsome! Ah… He was born and raised in Mesa, AZ and is now studying Business Marketing at BYU. He is quite the entrepreneur and just started working at Zion’s Bank. A description of Kevin would not be complete without adding that he is a sports FANATIC. On our first date, he told me, “I really enjoy sports, but I am not crazy about them.” I guess we all tell our little falsehoods when we are dating. For me, it was, “I’m really not that picky of an eater.” Anyways, I digressed. Kevin was on 7 intramural teams at one time! I do not think that a guy that watches ALL sports and plays EVERY sport cannot be “crazy about sports.” Another crucial detail about Kevin is that he has a black hole for a stomach. I swear I really do feed him! Somehow, the food seems to disappear and Kevin is never full. He is merely “satisfied.” The first time I made a meal I thought for sure, we’d have enough for left-overs. Hum, what was I thinking!? Regardless, Kevin is perfect in every way!

We have all heard “opposites attract” and Kevin and I are evidence of that philosophy. I was born and raised in Orem, UT and am a Nursing student at BYU. Kevin has to put up with all my wannabe-nurse stories and as time goes on, he has actually gotten through ONE story without gagging! Currently, I am employed at Nordstrom and really enjoying it! Occasionally, Kevin enjoys the perks of new shoes; although, he does not do a good job at keeping me in check. It is far too easy to convince him to let me get a new outfit. I am WAY too lucky; however, Kevin isn’t quite as lucky. Kevin loves everything saturated with meat and I do not care for red meat. For this reason, the day I make tacos is a holiday for Kevin. He gets so excited that he literally bounces around until it is done.

Anyways, enough of my little stories… What it really comes down to is that Kevin and I are so happy together! We were sealed in the Salt Lake, LDS temple on August 3, 2010. The following are some of our favorite pictures.

Engagements:

Wedding: (Unfortunately, I still have to order my professionals so I don't have as many from the Wedding Day.)
What a stud muffin...

Honeymoon:
I guess the rest of our Honeymoon pictures are on the other computer! Insead, I'll add one final difference from Kevin and me. I love to go on vacation and relax and read a good book. Kev, on the other hand, loves to be doing something active. He wanted to play catch or jump in the waves. No cab ride was without some type of competitive game in which we would count the cars on the road. I must admit, I did burn off some much-needed calories playing pool volleyball!
